About the race
The Swiss Ultracycling Challenge (SUCH) is an unsupported bicycle race that covers approximately 1000 kilometers across Switzerland. The race involves cycling through all 26 Swiss cantons and hitting six predetermined checkpoints. Riders start at any Swiss train station and finish at the Bundesplatz in Bern. The challenge includes 10,000 to 15,000 meters of elevation gain.
Since the race is unsupported, participants must manage all aspects of the journey on their own, including food, repairs, and accommodations. SUCH tests both physical endurance and route planning skills. The 2024 edition (SUCH24) is scheduled to begin on September 11, 2024.
